Matthew Rechtoris

Matthew joined Gainsberg Injury and Accident Lawyers in March 2024. Before becoming part of the firm, Matthew spent several years at prominent Chicago defense firms representing insurance companies in a wide array of matters. Matthew learned firsthand how insurance companies defend cases of negligence. He brings this inside experience to the firm to help his clients obtain the best possible outcome. 

Matthew hails from the suburbs of Chicago. He graduated from the University of Iowa with honors in history before returning to Chicago for law school, where he graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. As a law student, he served as a staff member of the Loyola University Chicago Journal and competed on Loyola’s National Moot Court Competition and Appellate Lawyer’s Association moot court teams.

Matthew has been referred to by his clients as diligent and vigorous in the pursuit of their cases. He lives in Chicago with his girlfriend and their cat, Mittens, and in his free time, enjoys exploring the lakefront as well as following domestic politics and foreign affairs.
